Activities and events:

During the year, (except for July) the MCOA Board of Directors meet monthly.  Special informational meetings to address specific issues are held as necessary at the call of the Chair. On a quarterly basis, the Board holds their monthly meeting at various locations across the state to give communities, local officials, and residents the opportunity to see the Board in action and provide input to MCOA initiatives. These meetings are held the second Friday of the Month and normally start at 9:30AM. All members and the public are welcome to attend these meetings.

Each spring, MCOA holds its annual membership meeting in conjunction with the annual Minnesota Airports Conference.  This meeting is combined with the annual educational enrichment program which includes technical and safety presentations, an industry trade show, an awards and recognition program, scholarships are presented, and an exchange of information regarding resolution of issues or problems.  Experts in aviation and aerospace fields from across the nation give the membership an opportunity to learn from their experiences through general assembly presentations, concurrent workshops and open forums.  Contact GenAvCon at 218-828-5049 (e-mail: genavcon@charter.net ) or Judy Meyers judy.meyers@state.mn.us at MnDOT, 800-657-3922 for conference details.
